Meet Our Team

Jake Brown is the second-generation owner of Winston Brown, proudly carrying on the legacy started by his father, Gary Brown, who founded the company over 50 years ago. Jake began working for Winston Brown in 1996 while attending Shawnee Heights High School. His passion for home renovation was evident early on and continued through his years at The University of Kansas, where he flipped homes and took on remodeling projects on the side.

That early hands-on experience, paired with his natural eye for design and commitment to excellence, made Jake a natural fit to lead the company into its next chapter. Under his leadership, Winston Brown has continued to thrive as one of the region’s premier design-build firms.

Jake has been recognized nationally for his work, including being named to Professional Remodeler Magazine’s 40 Under 40 list, NAHB Remodeler of the Month and Remodeling Magazine’s Big50 Class of America’s Top Remodelers.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys golfing, spending time with his wife, Kasi, and relaxing with their two rescue mutts, Perri & Birdie.
